Speeder Work Car.
April, 2016. Cut the metal for the speeder work car frame. Machined the parts and made some jig's to hold the frame while welding. Welded up the frame.
June, 2016. Got some wheels and axles from Aaron Gonthier at Mill Brook Railroad. These are off an electric Climax that a friend bought from Bud Hardwick, at Mud Creek Railroad.
July, 2016. Put everything together and tried the frame out on the railroad.
Nov, 2016. Cut the metal and welded up some drawbar pockets and machined a drawbar. Mounted the pocket on the end of the car.
Jan, 2017. Cut red oak boards to make the deck for the work car. Assembled and mounted it on the frame.
Mar, 2017. Removed the deck from the frame and applied a coat of sanding sealer. Then applied two coats of Spar Polyurethane.
April, 2017. Assembled the frame to the deck and put the drawbar pocket on. Took outside on the railroad for some pictures.
Sept, 2017. Cut some plywood for a work/riding box for the work car. Put it together and installed the lid w/hinges. Applied a coat of sanding sealer and started on the inside with two coats of Spar Polyurethane.

Oct, 2017. Finished up the two coats of Spar Polyurethane on the outside and when it had dried, took it out on the speeder work car. Looks good, so took some pictures.
